Turkey Euro 2024 Squad Announced: Young Talents and Key Veterans Set for Germany

Turkey has officially announced its 26-man squad for the highly anticipated Euro 2024 tournament, showcasing a blend of emerging young talents and seasoned veterans. As excitement builds for the summer’s European Championship, all eyes are on Vincenzo Montella’s selection as Turkey prepares to make its mark on the international stage.

Among the notable inclusions is Real Madrid’s rising star, Arda Guler. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder, who impressed with his performances for his club towards the end of the 2023-24 season, is tipped to play a crucial role for Turkey in the tournament. Guler’s creativity and flair are expected to add a dynamic edge to the Turkish атаку.

Leading the squad as captain is Inter Milan’s influential midfielder, Hakan Calhanoglu. Calhanoglu, Turkey’s second-highest goalscorer within the team with 18 goals, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the side. His role in midfield will be pivotal in dictating the tempo and providing crucial passes for Turkey’s attacking players.

The squad also features Roma defender Zeki Celik, Galatasaray’s versatile Kaan Ayhan, and Lille’s Yusuf Yazici, all of whom have secured their places in Montella’s final selection. These players bring a mix of defensive solidity and attacking threat, highlighting the balanced approach Turkey aims to adopt in Euro 2024.

Turkey finds itself in Group F at Euro 2024, a challenging pool alongside Portugal, Georgia, and the Czech Republic. Their tournament journey begins on June 18 against Georgia, followed by key fixtures against Portugal on June 22 and the Czech Republic on June 26.
