This guaranteed they would play the opening match – a spectacular 5-1 victory against Scotland – at the Munich Football Arena on Friday, June 14. Germany, including its history as West Germany, boasts a consistent presence at every EURO tournament since 1972, underscoring their footballing heritage. The Official EURO 2024 Match Ball

FUSSBALLLIEBE, meaning “love of football” in German, was the official match ball for UEFA EURO 2024. Unveiled in Berlin in November 2023 by UEFA and Adidas, this ball featured adidas Connected Ball Technology for the first time in a EURO tournament.

Albärt: The EURO 2024 Mascot

Albärt, a teddy bear, was chosen as the official mascot for EURO 2024 following a vote involving UEFA.com users and schoolchildren across Europe. Albärt secured 32% of the vote and was introduced to German fans in Gelsenkirchen in June 2023.

The Official EURO 2024 Song

“FIRE,” the official song of EURO 2024, was a collaboration between Italian producers Meduza, American band OneRepublic, and German singer-songwriter Leony. Released across streaming platforms, the song aimed to capture the passion of football and music fans alike.

eEURO 2024

UEFA eEURO 2024, the esports version of the tournament, culminated in Germany in the summer of 2024, following online qualifiers in March. EA SPORTS FC™ 24 served as the official platform for the eEURO 2024 competition.
