San Jose is gearing up for an electrifying summer as the epicenter of soccer in Northern California, hosting a series of vibrant viewing parties for the highly anticipated Euro Copa Games. With the city already buzzing from the San Jose Earthquakes and Bay FC action, and with Copa América and the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, local fans will have non-stop opportunities to immerse themselves in the beautiful game.
Kicking off with UEFA EURO 2024 on Friday, June 14, and Copa América on Thursday, June 20, both tournaments will culminate in thrilling finals on Sunday, July 14. Soccer enthusiasts in San Jose can catch all the action at official viewing parties hosted by The Old Wagon Saloon & Grill and O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub, both conveniently located on the pedestrian-friendly N. For select marquee Euro Copa games, the viewing experience will be amplified with a lively festival atmosphere in San Pedro Square. An enormous outdoor screen and speaker system will transform N. San Pedro Street into a soccer haven. San Pedro Square’s accessibility via the VTA Santa Clara light rail and five nearby Downtown parking garages (offering 90 minutes of free parking, with real-time availability updates at parksj.org) makes it an ideal location for fans from across the region.
Beyond San Pedro Square, the Mexican Heritage Plaza will also host a large outdoor screen viewing party for the exciting México vs. Venezuela Copa América match on Wednesday, June 26. Adding to the excitement, PayPal Park, the home of the Earthquakes, will become the ultimate destination for fans to watch the finals of both tournaments.
