This static currency converter provides access to the European Commission’s official monthly accounting rate for the euro and the conversion rates as established by the Accounting Officer of the European Commission, aligning with article 19 of the Financial Regulation.
These exchange rates are crucial for calculating reimbursements for expenses, travel, or subsistence costs for external individuals participating in meetings, interviews, and similar events at the request of the European Commission.
Beyond its primary function, this converter also serves general users seeking monthly currency conversion rates. You can easily retrieve rates from the current month all the way back to 1994, providing a comprehensive historical overview.
The exchange rates displayed are the market rates from the second to last day of the preceding month. These rates are sourced from the European Central Bank, a trusted authority, or, when necessary, from delegations or other reliable sources close to that date, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
InforEuro delivers exchange rates for both current and historical currencies, encompassing countries within and outside the European Union. For each currency, the converter offers historical conversion rates against the euro, and prior to December 1998, against the ecu. These exchange rate records are readily available in electronic format as downloadable files, dating back to March 1994.
