GOTHENBURG, Sweden–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Polestar (Nasdaq: PSNY), the Swedish electric performance car brand, has announced significant financial developments, securing a substantial 12-month term facility of up to USD 450 million. This financial boost is coupled with the renewal of its EUR 480 million Green Trade Finance Facility (TFF), reinforcing the company’s financial stability and commitment to sustainable practices.
In February 2025, Polestar finalized a 12-month term facility providing access to up to $450 million, building upon a previous achievement in December 2024 where the company secured over $800 million in similar 12-month term facilities. This latest financial injection underscores investor confidence in Polestar’s strategic direction and growth potential within the competitive electric vehicle market. The funding, denominated in US dollars, will provide crucial capital to support Polestar’s ongoing operations and ambitious expansion plans.
Further bolstering its financial framework, Polestar has successfully renewed its EUR 480 million Green Trade Finance Facility. Originally established in February 2022 with a consortium of leading global banks, this 12-month TFF is instrumental in supporting Polestar’s working capital needs. The renewal of this facility, now valued at 480 million euros, highlights Polestar’s continued access to green financing and its dedication to environmentally responsible operations. This green financing instrument supports Polestar’s commitment to sustainability, aligning financial strategy with its ambitious environmental goals.
Looking ahead, Polestar has announced key dates for upcoming financial and sales publications. The company is set to release its global retail sales volumes for the first quarter of 2025 on April 10, 2025. Furthermore, Polestar plans to publish its results for the fourth quarter and the full year of 2024 in April 2025, coinciding with the filing of its Annual Report on Form 20-F for 2024. These publications will provide further insights into Polestar’s performance and trajectory in the electric vehicle market.
