San Jose is gearing up for an unparalleled summer of soccer as the city prepares to host viewing parties for both the prestigious Copa América 2024 and UEFA EURO 2024 tournaments. Announced by the San Jose Earthquakes in collaboration with the City of San José and the San Jose Sports Authority, these events promise to immerse fans in the beautiful game throughout June and July.
Building on San Jose’s growing reputation as a Northern California soccer hub – highlighted by the Earthquakes and Bay FC, and with the upcoming Copa América and 2026 FIFA World Cup – this summer’s “Euro Copa” viewing parties offer a fantastic opportunity for fans to come together and celebrate international soccer.
The action kicks off with UEFA EURO 2024 on Friday, June 14, followed by Copa América on Thursday, June 20, with both tournaments culminating in Finals on Sunday, July 14. For all matches starting at 9 a.m. PT or later, fans can head to official viewing parties at The Old Wagon Saloon & Grill and O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub. Conveniently located on pedestrian-friendly N. For select marquee matchups, the viewing experience will be amplified into a festival atmosphere at San Pedro Square. A giant outdoor screen and sound system will transform N. San Pedro Street into a vibrant hub for soccer enthusiasts. San Pedro Square’s accessibility via the VTA Santa Clara light rail and nearby Downtown parking garages with free 90-minute parking (availability updated at parksj.org) makes it an ideal location for large gatherings.
Adding to the excitement, the Mexican Heritage Plaza will host a special outdoor viewing party on Wednesday, June 26, for the highly anticipated México vs. Venezuela Copa América match. Furthermore, PayPal Park, the home of the San Jose Earthquakes, will become the ultimate viewing destination for both tournament finals.
