McDonald’s Japan is known for its exciting collaborations, and their latest partnership might be one of their most enchanting yet. Teaming up with the beloved Kiki’s Delivery Service, McDonald’s is launching a new line of “Europe Burgers” inspired by the continent’s diverse cuisine.
In Japan, Kiki’s Delivery Service is famously known as “Majo no Takkyuubin,” or “Magical Delivery,” a name that perfectly aligns with McDonald’s own delivery prowess. This whimsical collaboration brings Kiki and her feline companion Jiji into the McDonald’s universe to introduce three new “Europe Burgers,” each drawing inspiration from distinct European flavors.
First on the menu is the German Potato Thick Beef burger, priced at 520 yen (approximately US$3.29).

Next is the Peperoncino Juicy Hot Chicken burger, available for 450 yen.

Finally, the seafood option is the Bouillabaisse-Style Shrimp burger, costing 470 yen.

To promote these new Japan McDonalds euro bruger creations, a charming animated TV commercial has been released. Featuring the voices of Aoi Yuki as Kiki and Daisuke Sakaguchi as Jiji, the commercial, inspired by Eiko Kadono’s original story, depicts Kiki soaring through the skies, delivering these European-inspired burgers.
In the commercial’s opening scene, Kiki enthusiastically announces, “Delivery from McDonald’s!” setting the stage for this delightful culinary journey.

This “Europe Burgers” collection is the latest in McDonald’s Japan’s series of globally-inspired menus. Previously, they’ve transported taste buds to New York and Asia. Now, customers can savor European flavors, with the German burger boasting hearty potatoes, the chicken burger infused with red peppers and aioli, and the shrimp burger featuring a crispy cutlet and flavorful bouillabaisse sauce.
These unique square-bunned euro burgers at Japan McDonalds will be available for a limited period, from June 26th to the end of July. While generally available nationwide, the Bouillabaisse-Style Shrimp burger will not be offered in Fukuoka and Saga prefectures.

McDonald’s is also celebrated for its creative packaging, and anticipation is high to see the special burger wraps for this Japan McDonald’s Kiki’s Delivery Service euro burger promotion. If they follow the precedent set by the McDonald’s x Touch manga collaboration, customers are in for another visual treat.
